Can I purchase all of the unedited photos from my photo shoot? This is a question that gets asked frequently from some customers when inquiring about a photo shoot. If you take a look at our pricing page you will not find a price listed anywhere on it that says: All Unedited Photos From Your Shoot. Any guess why? Because WE DO NOT OFFER IT! Here are a few other questions that are similar in nature and get asked A LOT. “Instead of getting only 3 edited photos from my shoot, can you just give me all the unedited images for the same price?” No. Besides, why would you want all the images anyway? Let me explain. As a photographer, my job is to take amazing photos that you will love and want to proudly display or share with other people. I take a handful of shots in each pose because the slightest movement can either make or break a photo. Every photo may look good, but there will always be one that stands out as the BEST! For example, below are five portraits that I photographed of my daughter. Four of them were not edited, and final photo that I selected was. Each of the five shots look pretty good by their self. However, when your start looking at all of them together, you will notice that some of the portraits really could look better. This first photo is cute. If it was the only image shot in this pose I would be satisfied and purchase the photo. But.... When I compare it to the second image, I see immediately that I do not like how she is holding the football in the first image. So now, I like the second image the best and would purchase this photo instead of the first. Now, when I look at the third image, I notice that I do not like how she is leaning back in the second image. Her posture looks much better in the third. So now, I like the third image the best and would purchase this photo instead of the second. Ok, image three looks great because the football is properly placed, her posture is good, and her legs now have a little space between them. They look much better now, than when they were posed together. So now, I like the fourth image the best and would purchase this photo instead of the third. Finally, the fifth image. When I compare it with the fourth, I immediately notice the lack of eye connection in that fourth image. The fifth image has all items that made each shot better than the previous. So now, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the fifth image the best and would DEFINITELY PURCHASE this photo! Every photo purchased includes FREE standard editing to enhance the portrait. So what is the point in wanting to have every UNEDITED photo when only the BEST will be displayed or shown to everyone?
“Can I have all the pics from the shoot without editing and how much would it cost?” If you would like to purchase every photo from the shoot you can. Each additional photo that goes over the included photo amount in the option package you select is only $50 and comes with FREE standard editing. It would be hard to predict the final cost ahead of time, because the number of photos taken in each shoot can vary, but it could get very expensive if there is 100+ photos from the shoot. “How much for a CD of all the unedited pictures?” Unfortunately, I recently upgraded to new computer and it does not have a CD drive located anywhere on it. So it would be impossible to burn you a CD. Besides, every purchased photos come with FREE standard editing and they are delivered to you in a modern, convenient method. Hopefully this blog post answers your question about buying all unedited photos.

Is premium photo editing right for me?That is the question asked by many of my clients while they view their photos after a boudoir photo shoot. I try to remain neutral because everyone has different reasons for their photo shoot.
I live in Las Vegas and in the summer it is pool season for all the casinos and that means lots of cocktail and pool jobs. Many of the casinos request to have a printed head shot submitted at the time of the job interview or audition. A friend of mine that does the hiring at one of the pools told me that the competition for these jobs are fierce. Thousands of women apply for only a handful of jobs that they have available. He put it into perspective for me when he said, why should we settle for a 9 when we can hire a 10? When they compare photos at the end of the day, the better looking photo is the one that usually lands the job. Some women that I have photographed want to look a little slimmer or larger in certain areas, other women say they want to keep a natural look, but most choose the premium photo editing because they want to see the reaction on their significant others face when they see how amazing they look in the photos. In the before and after photos below, you will see the before image shot directly from camera and the premium photo edit side by side. Most edits are subtle. Thats how I believe photo editing should be. I do not go extreme and make you look like someone you are not. Instead, I correct problem areas that would make a better looking photo. When comparing the side by side edits, pay special attention to the areas of the stomach, stretch marks, veins, tattoos, side rolls, arms, legs, underarm, splotchy skin, and ankles. These are generally the areas that most women I photograph say they would like to have slimmed down or as they say, "fixed". 7 tips for creating breathtaking images with a new trend in boudoir and maternity photographyOne evening I was watching television when a commercial caught my attention. I can not recall what the ad was for, but I remember seeing a claw foot bathtub in it and I thought, wow, that would look amazing in a boudoir photo shoot. The following day I did and internet search and found an awesome looking claw foot bathtub at a great price, so I purchased one. My studio has a bathtub in it already and I had no intention of swapping it out with the new claw foot tub. Instead, I was going to build a completely new set for it. I was happy with how the set turned out. Now it is time to try out the tub. I wanted to create some beautiful milk bath photographs in it. Milk bath photos are all the rage and extremely popular in maternity photography and boudoir photography. Perfect! Initially, I thought about using fake flowers in the photos, simply because they can be reused. However, after some research, I learned that fake flowers will sink to the bottom of the tub, making them useless. So real flowers it is. I went to the grocery store and picked up three bouquets of flowers. I selected bouquets that had flowers with soft colors and would compliment the milk bath boudoir shoot I was doing. I also picked a container of non-dairy creamer. I chose the non-dairy creamer instead of actual milk mainly because I thought the milk would smell funny during the shoot or even after the shoot if the client did not want to rinse it off. About an hour before the photo shoot I cut off the majority of the stem from the flowers. Then I placed the flowers face down on the floor so they can keep their shape and hopefully open up a little more. The claw foot tub is not connected to a faucet, so when it was time to shoot, I had to fill the tub with multiple buckets of warm water. While filling my first bucket of water, I stirred in about 1/3 of the container of non-dairy creamer and mixed it until it was completely dissolved. I then dumped the bucket into the tub and added about seven more buckets with only water. The amount of creamer I used gave a great looking, soft milky color. The thing I enjoyed most about using the non-dairy creamer was the smell. It gave off a pleasant, sweet scent. I loved it! I had window light available for the shoot, but I decided to use a strobe with a large softbox pointed towards the ceiling. The softbox gave me an evenly lit image versus the window light that had more shadows. Before I placed the flowers in the tub, I had my client lay in it first. This allowed me to see if the color of the milk bath is desirable, and to adjust the water level in the tub if needed. After the water level was perfect, I then posed my client and had her lie still while I placed the flowers around her. Once everything was all in place, I climbed up to the top of my step-stool and took a few shots. I had her change poses a few times. Each time her pose changed I would have to rearrange the flowers and add/remove some depending on how much open space was left by the pose. My first milk bath boudoir photo shoot was a success! I am very pleased with the images. The following day I had a maternity shoot and she wanted to try the milk bath for a few of her photos. The milk bath maternity photos looked equally beautiful. Here are 7 tips for a successful milk bath maternity or boudoir photo shoot.
1. Have lots of towels handy. The client will need to dry off and you do not want her to be cold or dripping water all over your floor while you search for extras. 2. Carry a dry washcloth in your pocket. You will need to dry your hands each time you arrange the flowers and you do not want your camera getting wet. 3. Keep your clients clothing minimal. During the first boudoir milk bath shoot, the client wore a bra and panties and they looked very out of place in the photos. If they are not comfortable being nude or hiding what they do not want shown under the milk bath, suggest wearing something sheer. 4. Use real flowers. You can also buy the ones that are marked down because they are “older”. They may not look great standing in a vase, but when they are laying in a milk bath it is hard to tell. Also, the real flowers can be used again within a few days. 5. Poses are somewhat limited in a tub, especially depending on the size of the tub, the client, and her flexibility. Milk bath photos are a great add-on to an existing boudoir or maternity shoot, but not so much as a stand alone shoot. 6. Place a non-slip bath mat inside the tub. The milk bath can be a little slippery and the last thing you want is having your client slip while trying to get out of the tub. Help them out, literally. 7. Have fun and make some beautiful milk bath photos for your clients to love forever!!! Are you a football widow?Oh football. Although the season is halfway over, you seem to be on television all the time. For some of us, it is an opportunity to hang out with friends and cheer for your favorite team. For others, it is a boring time spent alone as a football widow. A football widow is a wife whose husband spends the majority of his free time engrossed in football during the football season. It is not too late to get his eyes off of the game or fantasy football stats and back on to you. Want to know how to do it? Easy. Experience a boudoir photo shoot while wearing a jersey of his favorite team (he will also love some photos in lingerie too). Finding a football jersey to wear for your boudoir shoot may be a challenge, especially if their favorite team is not located in your home city. I am a Detroit Lions fan, so it is pretty much impossible to find a Lions jersey here in Las Vegas. So where do you go? I looked at the NFLs online store and they have a great of selection for every team, however their prices were extremely high. Probably not be the best value for something you will likely wear only once. I searched some more, and was surprised to find that Targets website has a great selection of shirts and jerseys for every team. Just search under the teams name. Targets prices were awesome. In the photos here, the gray shirt is $7 and the blue jersey is $11. Plus, they ship it free to your local store. Also, another thing I love about the jerseys on Targets site is that they have styles fit for a woman, not just a bulky mans jersey. The playoffs are right around the corner, as well as the holidays. Give him an amazing gift that will get his eyes back onto you.
Enjoy the moment, you deserve it!I was recently contacted by Denisse who wanted to break up the monotony of her everyday life. She wanted to do something fun and exciting, something she has never done before. Denisse said she works all week and rarely has any free time to herself on the weekends because thats when she plays catch-up from her hectic schedule. This weekend, Denisse decided to do something for HERSELF. She contacted our North Las Vegas boudoir photography studio and scheduled a photo shoot. Denisse said she wanted some beautiful boudoir pictures to make herself forget about the daily grind and celebrate the sexy woman that she is. The boudoir photo shoot with Denisse went amazing! She brought some sexy lingerie with her, and looked fantastic wearing it in her photographs. If you are looking for something new and different to do on the weekends, a boudoir photo shoot just might be exactly what you are looking for.
DIY Tutorial On How To Refurbish An Old Thrift Store End Table To An Amazing Piece Of Boudoir Studio Furniture On A BudgetAre you a new boudoir photographer looking for ideas to create sets for your studio? Or maybe someone who wants a new look in your home, but does not want to spend hundreds or even thousands of dollars doing so? Great! This is for you. Sure, you can go into your local furniture stores or shop online for new furniture to build the perfect set for your boudoir studio, but if you are on a budget like me, I try to find solutions that look equally great at a fraction of the price. You just have to use some imagination and creativity. This is what I did. First, I took a trip to my local thrift store. I love the thrift store because of their super low prices and great looking vintage styles. Usually finding something decent looking that you can refurbish is hit or miss. Luckily, on this trip I found my thrift store score, a end table. It was something that most people would pass by and not even take a second look at. The prior owner spray painted the majority of it black, leaving only the top in its natural wood finish. At first glance it was a disaster, however, I saw its inner beauty. The end table was an absolute gem. I had to have it! Regardless of the price I was going to buy it. I could imagine it as a night stand in my boudoir studio already. Sure, It is going to need a little work, but that is where you have to use some imagination and creativity. I did not see it as an old used black spray painted table at a thrift store, I visioned it as a new high-end white nightstand that I will use in one of my boudoir sets. The price was $16.99. Under twenty bucks, awesome! After lugging it through the store I notice a sign near the checkout that say orange tags are 50% off today. Sweet! So the price dropped to ONLY $8.50. I purchased it and immediately took it to my studio. I wiped all the dirt and dust off of it with a damp rag. When I removed the drawer I noticed that it was stamped, Thomasville. Wow! They make some great quality furniture. Here is the step-by-step instructions on how I refurbished this old end table into my new boudoir studio nightstand. First, I had to sand it. Initially, I used regular 120 grit sandpaper. It was a major pain in the ass sanding the black spray paint off. After wasting 30 minutes of sanding around the top of the table I said forget this and drove to Home Depot and purchased some sandpaper for the electric Black & Decker “mouse” sander I already own. The sandpaper for the mouse costs a little more than regular sandpaper but it was definitely worth every cent in terms of the time and energy saved. I sanded down the entire table until most of the black paint was gone. Some of the hard to reach spots were still visible but I sanded then down the best I could. Second, I took the table outside and sprayed it with white Krylon Primer. It took one full can to properly cover the table and the front of the drawer. I did not spray the top center of the table because I planned on covering it with white vinyl. I let the primer dry for about 15 minutes. Third, I grabbed a can of satin white interior paint and a couple paint brushes. I purchased them at Walmart. I did not want to spend a lot of money on paint so I went with the cheapest can available. It cost about $15. I went with a satin finish because glossy would be too glossy and flat would be too flat. After applying one coat of paint, I could still see the wood beneath in certain areas, so I waited about ten minutes for it to dry and then applied a second coat. The paint still did not cover properly, so I applied a third coat of paint. Now it looks great and completely white with no visible wood underneath. As I said earlier, I did not paint the center because I am going to cover it with white vinyl. This would give my nightstand a fancy and expensive look. The center top of the table has a square area with an indentation around it. Inside this area is where I will place the vinyl. Next, I used a drywall T-square to measure each side of the indentation. All sides were 23 inches long. I used a T-square because it makes perfect right angles. I drew out the square on a piece of cardboard and then cut it out with a box cutter. I wanted to make sure my measurements and cut on the cardboard fit perfectly inside the square area of the table before I cut the vinyl. I placed the square piece of cardboard in the center of the table and the indentation matched up exactly around the edge of all sides. Next, I laid the cardboard cut-out on the vinyl and traced around the edge of it with a pen. Then I used a pair of scissors and carefully cut along the drawn line. Now I have the final square piece of vinyl that will be used in the center of the table. To prevent the vinyl from moving around I sprayed the back side of the vinyl with Krylon Easy-Tack spray adhesive and then carefully lined it up in the center. It took a few attempts to get it perfectly lined up. Luckily the adhesive is not super sticky so you can peel it off a few times until you get it right. Once the vinyl was set where I wanted it, I used my hand to smooth and remove any air bubbles under the vinyl. To finalize the look that I wanted, I needed some upholstery tacks. I could not find a store in my area that had a tack with a shiny silver finish, so I ordered them online at Amazon. They cost about $8 for a box of 100. I ordered three boxes just to play it safe. You will need a hammer and a pair of needle nose pliers to set the upholstery tacks in place. I started in the corner. Hold a tack with the needle nose pliers in indention between the vinyl and the wood. Lightly hammer in the tack and slide out the pliers a little bit with each hit. Once the tack is aligned straight and in the position you want, completely hammer it down. Repeat the tack hammering all the way around the table. Try to keep the tacks close together without them overlapping on top of each other. If you notice that they are either too close or too far away, immediately pull the put with the pliers because if you hammer the tack in too far you may scratch up the paint while trying to pry the tack out. My table took a total of 202 tacks. Good thing I ordered three packs or I would have been short 2 tacks and have an incomplete table top. Lastly, I replaced the old black drawer knob with a new shiny silver one that I purchased at Home Depot for $4. This knob matched perfectly with the upholstery tacks. There you have it. A fun and easy DIY project to turn old furniture into an amazing look that you can incorporate into your boudoir photography set. Please share if you like, and leave any question or comments below.

We could not have done it without you.
With your suggestions and feedback we are making your boudoir photo shoot experience amazing! Here is how we are accomplished it. A while ago we wanted some feedback regarding our website, so we asked lots and lots of people to review it. Some of the people were friends, and many were strangers. We asked them to be brutally honest about the website. What do you like about it and what needs some work?
Most of the reviews were favorable, but a handful had suggestions on what could be done to make it better. Some said that the overall feel of the website was too dark and it needed to look cleaner and brighter. Others felt it was difficult to navigate because they could not find what they were looking for in a few seconds and hated searching for information, while others said the pricing was too confusing.
You spoke, we listened. With your suggestions we changed the background of the website from black to white for an elegant and cleaner look. We also added extra links to the site that will help you find areas you want to see a lot faster, and we simplified our price list from a long confusing list of products, to an easy two option photo shoot package. Your satisfaction is our goal and we strive to exceed your expectations. We also now make leaving feedback easier and more convenient. After your photo shoot, you will receive an email with a link to our feedback form. It is a quick survey that lets us know how much you enjoyed your boudoir photo shoot experience, your edited photos, ask what you loved, and what areas that could use some help. Filling out surveys can be a real pain and nobody has time for that, so we made our’s fast and easy. Only a few questions. Check a couple boxes, leave a comment if you want and you are done! If you love what we are doing at Las Vegas Glamour Boudoir, let us know. Actually, let your friends and everyone know too! Or view/leave a review on Google (search: Las Vegas Glamour Boudoir). Thanks for making us better! Using Photoshop on nude and boudoir photos - Is it necessary?Almost every photo you see nowadays will have some type of editing applied to it. No, seriously. You may or may not notice it, but the most popular camera today (your smartphone, I know, crazy right?) allows you to apply many types of “filters” to your photos. Beauty face softening, HDR, face swapping, and ones that apply a glamour makeup look to your photos are just a few examples. Are these filters necessary to make a great photo? Not really. However, they can make a photograph more appealing and interesting to look at. So, when does photo editing go to far? Is it the selfie of your friend on Facebook who’s face is softened so much that the only feature you recognize are her eyes? Or is it the photos in magazines of glamorous supermodels, singers, and entertainers that look absolutely flawless? I want to believe these people truly look like this, however, I know that some sort of photo editing software or filter was used to make them look more appealing. All of the photos that you see on my website are edited. I will say this again. All of the photos that you see on my website are edited! It could be anything from simply brightening an image, removing a few pimples, enlarging breasts, slimming a waist, or removing a distracting electrical outlet on the wall. I use Photoshop as a enhancer. It is a tool designed to make something that already looks good, look better. Just because I have the ability to over-edit a photo to the point it looks fake, does not mean I should. The photo I am using in this post is the most viewed boudoir photo on my site. I have also licensed it to a tanning salon for use at their business. That being said, people really like this photo! In this blog post, I am doing what most boudoir photographers are afraid to do on their websites..... Actually post the unedited image with the final edited product.... AND I AM DOING THIS WITH MY MOST POPULAR IMAGE!!! As you can see, the edits on this nude boudoir photo are very minimal. -A crop was placed to remove less-interesting items, while keeping the ones that your eyes are instantly drawn to. -The skin was lightly smoothed and blemishes were removed. -The ankle, thigh, and stomach were slightly slimmed. Her back and the heel of her foot were also given a little shape. -The backdrop was cleaned up, darkened and highlighted in certain areas to bring more attention to the body. -The photo was then converted to black and white and given a blue tint. Thats all!!! Using a photo editing program like Photoshop or filters on your smartphone can make photos look better. Just use them in moderation. I believe that Photoshop should be used to enhance a photo, not BE the photo.
Your belly looks beautiful. Time for some maternity pictures, but before you strike your curvy pose in front of the camera, here are some tips to consider for your upcoming maternity photo shoot.1 - When To Schedule You will want to have your maternity shoot starting around the middle of the 7th to 8th month of pregnancy. You and your belly will have a beautiful, full shape. Plus, the pregnancy “glow” will look its best during this time. 2 - How To Prepare Since this is a maternity photo shoot, your hands are very important because they will be touching or holding your belly most of the time. Having some great looking nails will make you look much better in your photos. Get a manicure and keep it simple. Over the top designs or styles will put more focus on your fingernails and take away from your belly. 3 - Hair And Makeup There is nothing that says you can’t get all glammed up for your maternity photo shoot with a smokey-eye makeup look, long fake lashes, and your hair styled perfectly. It may actually look very sexy. Unless that is the look you are going for, it is best to keep your hair and makeup simple and natural. Go with a minimalistic makeup look. Use a light foundation, eye shadow, eyeliner, mascara, and a natural tone lipstick. Keep your hair styled as natural as possible. 4 - Posing For That Perfect Shot There are lots of great looking poses that will make you and your baby bump look amazing. You can do a Google image search or look through Pinterest for pregnancy photo poses. There will be thousands. Try to find some that interest you and the look you are trying to accomplish. When you find some you like, try them out in front of a mirror along with your facial expression. Does the pose look better with a full teeth showing smile, just the lips smiling, or a neutral expression? 5 - Getting Your Skin Camera Ready If you are wanting pregnancy photos what will show off your bare belly, or if you are going to be posing nude or semi-nude, you will want to avoid wearing tight-fitting clothing and accessories at least 2 hours before your photo shoot. Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid elastic or clothing marks on your skin. You will also want to moisturize your skin with lotion at least an hour before your shoot to prevent any glare on your belly from the studio lights and dry skin patches from showing. 6 - What Outfits Look Best In Maternity Pictures Again, keeping it simple is the best way to go. You and your beautiful growing belly are the stars of your maternity photos. -A bare baby bump looks stunning! -If you are wearing clothes, form-fitting clothing look the best and will compliment your figure. -Black clothing gives you a slimming silhouette. -Silk or sheer fabrics that are draped or wrapped beautifully around your body revealing your baby bump looks very elegant. -Strapless, spaghetti straps, and long sleeves all look good, but avoid t-shirt length sleeves. -Also avoid clothing with large distracting patterns, floral prints, stripes, swirls, and plaids. When in doubt, simple is better. 7 - Should I Bring Any Props Some maternity photographers love to use props like your baby’s first ultrasound photo, cute little baby shoes, or a chalkboard with your baby’s name on it. Although bringing such props sound like a good idea and in theory should look fun in your pregnancy photos, unfortunately, they rarely do. Ultrasound photos are hard to make out and not very clear. Blocks and shoes are just a distraction and will take away attention from your beauty. Save yourself the time and leave these at home. 8 - Can The Father Be In The Photos Too Absolutely! This is an important time in his life too. However, just because you may be posing nude or showing your bare belly, it is not advised that the father be topless as well. This is another idea that sounds good in theory, but I gave seen countless images of both the mother and father topless and they all look awkward. So guys, keep your clothes on. 9 - I love All My Photos, But…
I have had many of clients look at their photos immediately following their photo shoots and love nearly all of their photos. They want to buy all of them but say they have a budget of “X” amount of dollars. My job as a photographer is to create amazing photos that you fall in love with and want to purchase. A photo is a memory, a moment in time captured. Something that is forever. It is not an expensive designer purse or shoes that looks great at first, but will collect dust in a closet or go out of style in a few years. Truth is, it’s better to get more now and be happy that you did, than to not get enough and wishing you had more later. Thank you for reading my 9 tips for maternity photos.
