Recently I did a boudoir photo shoot with the beautiful Jamye. She was in need of some photos for her modeling portfolio and loved my glamour and boudoir photography style so she contacted me for a photo shoot.
When Jamye arrived at my Las Vegas boudoir studio, we discussed what kind of photos she wanted. Jamye did not want any pictures that were too outrageous or over the top. Just some modern, classy boudoir photos. Sounds simple enough.
Jamye is a beautiful tall curvy model with long blonde hair. She is not the typical size 0-2 runway model, yet too small to be considered as a plus size model. She is what you would call a "curvy" model.
Jamye brought a few pieces of lingerie with her to the studio. This gave us the opportunity to look through and decide what would perfect fit for the shoot. She laid the outfits on the bed and all were amazing. After a few minutes we both decide on a very cute and sexy bra and panty set.
Jamye also had with her a suit jacket and skirt set. The entite outfit looked great, however we decided on wearing the jacket only and not the skirt. This would allow Jamye to show off her gorgeous long legs and still keep a classy look. In boudoir photography, less is always more.
When shooting boudoir photography or any kind of glamour photo shoot, I am often asked what kind of lighting do I prefer to use. As most boudoir photographers will tell you the answer is simple, window lighting. This is the beautiful natural light from the sun that shines through a window. I find that window lighting always adds that extra dramatic kick to any boudoir photo.
The first 4 photos in this blog post were photographed using only window lighting. I absolutely love how they look.
Half-way through her boudoir photo shoot, Jamye decided to let go of her serious side and started to really have fun with it. I am not sure why, but she thought it would be amusing to throw pillows at me. Although it was quite funny, it also became impossible for me to take pictures because I had to dodge the pillows flying towards the camera and myself.
After getting hit numerous times, I suggested that she throw the pillows at her assistant instead of me. Now I was able to concentrate on the photos instead of dodging pillows.
The pillow fight was a blast and I captured some fun photos from it.
This curvy boudoir photo shoot was so much fun. Thank you again Jamye.
