An amazingly fun photo shoot is the perfect cure for a bad break-up
Recently I got the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Miranda. She just experienced a bad break-up and wanted to feel sexy and confident again. Here are some photos from Mirandas boudoir photo shoot and her experience with us.
What made you want to experience a boudoir photo shoot?
-I was visiting Las Vegas for the week, apartment hunting after a bad breakup, and I was immediately mesmerized by the city’s feeling of endless possibilities. I recalled that I had always wanted to do a boudoir shoot, but had never quite made it to the “right occasion” to “deserve” one. Inspired by the energy of the city I realized, I deserve one just because! There is never a wrong time to pamper yourself, and you don’t need a reason to feel sexy and confident. You deserve it because it brings you joy, and that in and of itself is reason enough. So on a whim I decided to book one, thinking it seemed like Vegas was exactly the kind of city where you could book a last minute photo shoot. I was thrilled to be right about that! While Googling studios, Las Vegas Glamour Boudoir immediately came up as the most highly rated local boudoir studio. After reading all of the many happy reviews and browsing through the photos on the website, I decided to book one for myself.
What was your biggest fear before coming into the studio?
-My biggest fear was that the photos wouldn’t turn out the way I hoped and that I would be self-conscious about how I looked in them. The day of the shoot, my worries were quickly eased. I could tell that you had good knowledge of which poses, angles, lighting, etc., would make the photos look best, which I appreciated because I don’t know the first thing about any of those factors. As soon as I saw the photos after, I was extremely proud of and grateful for how beautiful they turned out.
What was your favorite part of the photo shoot?
-My favorite parts were getting to pick my favorite music, have a glass of wine to relax, and looking at the photos after! I enjoyed the good conversation as well.
Why did you want to experience a boudoir photo shoot?
-I was thinking about moving to Vegas after escaping a very toxic relationship, causing me to basically re-start my life from the ground up. As soon as I stepped off the plane, I was mesmerized by the energy of the city and the feeling of endless possibilities. There were bright gleaming lights all around, and so many fun activities to do against the backdrop of beautiful mountains draped in sunshine. Everywhere I looked, there were people lounging by the pool or basking in the warm weather, letting loose with friends and enjoying all of the fun and excitement that is to be found around every corner. From all the confident ladies strutting in their cutest party outfits, to the beautiful models posing for photos with tourists on the strip, it seemed that the universal message was to love the skin you’re in and embrace the present moment. I pondered how I could get in touch with that sexy, confident side of myself, while delighting in a distinctly glamorous, Vegas-like experience. That’s when I recalled my long time dream of having my first ever boudoir shoot. I realized I didn’t need to wait for “the right person” or “perfect occasion” to get these photos taken. There is no time like the present, and getting them done for me would be just as meaningful, if not even more so.
Would you recommend Las Vegas Glamour Boudoir to your friends?
-I would recommend Las Vegas Glamour Boudoir to my friends because you are professional, efficient, communicative, and provided an all around pleasant experience. I especially recommend you for those inexperienced with photoshoots like myself!
How did you feel being photographed by a male boudoir photographer?
-I did not feel weird having a male photographer. You were friendly, professional, easy to talk to, and I never felt uncomfortable during our interactions.
Thank you Miranda for sharing your experience. It is always great to hear how to find joy in yourself, especially after going through a tough time.
